Nexus Bible is published under the developer name Nexus Bible. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@annelleservices.co.uk.
What the app handles
Nexus Bible shares scripture selections and presentation settings during a Google Meet™ activity or presenter-controlled screen share. It does not request access to meeting audio, video, chat, Google Drive, Gmail, or Google account profiles. It has no separate app account, advertising scripts, or app analytics integration.
The collaboration server receives the selected passage, translation, display layout, theme, text size, word highlights, word-study entries, and read-aloud/display status. Random session and client identifiers coordinate updates. A random session token controls access to the shared activity.
Early-access testing
If you provide a Google-account email for draft testing, we add it to the app’s draft tester list in Google Workspace Marketplace. It is used to grant access to the draft and remains there until testing ends or you ask to leave. To opt out, email support@annelleservices.co.uk from that account with the subject Leave Nexus Bible testing. We will remove it from the draft tester list. Tester addresses are not published in the app or store description.
Storage and retention
The separate OBS studio uses its own study room. Its control credential is saved in browser local storage so the controller can reopen the room. A private control dock URL grants control; the Browser Source URL carries only a read-only credential. Keep both URLs within your production team. OBS may save the URLs in its local scene and dock configuration. Starting a new OBS session creates new URLs; existing sessions remain until they expire or the server restarts.
Study rooms are held in the server’s memory. They expire after roughly six hours without activity and disappear on a server restart or deployment. Connected clients send heartbeats that keep their rooms active. The server also keeps short-lived connection-rate information to limit abuse.
The preview studio uses browser local storage and session storage to synchronize and restore preview settings. Bible passage responses may be cached in local storage without automatic expiry. Clear this site’s data in your browser to remove saved previews and cached passages. Core Meet session synchronization does not depend on third-party cookies.
The application does not deliberately write study content or activity tokens to its server logs. Hosting providers process normal connection metadata and operational logs under their own retention policies. Render’s dashboard log retention depends on the workspace plan; see Render’s logging documentation and privacy policy. This is separate from the temporary study-room storage described above.
External services
KJV/KJV+ text and lexicon assets come from the app host. Other translations are requested directly from Bible API, which receives the requested passage and translation along with ordinary connection metadata.
Fonts are requested from Google Fonts. Google Meet™ and its add-on SDK operate under Google’s privacy policy. The app is currently hosted on Render. These providers process requests according to their own policies.
Read aloud uses your browser’s speech synthesis service. Whether a voice processes text locally or remotely depends on your browser and operating system. Copy passage writes text to your clipboard only when you select that action.
Optional creator support
When enabled, the Buy Me a Coffee link opens the external provider only after you click it. Support is optional. Nexus Bible embeds no payment widget, receives no card details or donation webhook, and does not use donations to unlock features. The external provider handles payment and account information under its own terms and privacy policy.
Support and privacy enquiries
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information or attachments you send. We use these to respond to your enquiry, troubleshoot the issue, and handle relevant follow-up. Please send only what is needed; do not include activity tokens, passwords, meeting links, or private participant information.
For questions about information held by Nexus Bible, or a request concerning access or deletion, email support@annelleservices.co.uk. We will assess the request against the records we hold and applicable requirements. Clearing browser data removes locally stored information; your Google, hosting-provider, and support-payment accounts are managed separately by those providers.
